Fix Problems Without the Guesswork

Things break. Audio stops working, Wi-Fi drops, displays glitch. On Windows®, you’d search online and hope for the best. On Linux, the answers are usually buried in forum posts full of terminal commands that don’t make sense if you’re not an expert.

Medbay fixes that. It diagnoses problems on your Linux machine and walks you through the fix, step by step. No expertise required.

How It Works

Medbay gives you two ways to find a fix:

  • Browse by category. Pick what’s broken (audio, Wi-Fi, display, etc.), narrow it down (“No sound from speakers”), and Medbay walks you through the solution.
  • Describe the problem. Just type what’s wrong in your own words. Medbay uses a local AI to understand what you’re describing and finds the right fix.

Every fix in Medbay is written and tested by our team. The AI can only recommend fixes and add them to your queue. It cannot run anything on its own and it never makes up commands. You review what’s been recommended, approve what you want to run, and only then does it execute.

Does this need the internet? No. The AI and all included fixes run entirely on your computer. Nothing is sent to the cloud, and your data stays on your machine. The only time an internet connection is needed is to download new fixes through Defenestra Care.

Medbay is a one-time purchase. You get the full library of tested fixes as it exists today, and it’s yours to keep for good.

Linux never stops changing, though, so our team keeps writing new fixes. Defenestra Care is an optional subscription that delivers them to you: while subscribed, every new fix gets added to your app automatically. Cancel whenever you like and you keep every fix you received while subscribed, nothing is taken away. Resubscribe later and you catch up to the latest fixes.
